The Parkside Foundation

Mission Statement:

The principal purposes and objectives of the Foundation are to solicit and receive funds which may be used:  to support special needs and projects of Parkside Meadows, Inc.  ("Parkside") and its residents ("community members"); to educate the community about Parkside and its programs; and to promote health and wellness of senior citizens in the great St. Charles community.

Since the Foundation's inception in 2002, funds have been used to purchase a computer system and therapy/fitness equipment. In the past few years, funding through an application process, has allowed several community members to remain at Parkside who would have had to move due to their economic status. Recently, the Foundation approved the upgrade of Channel 21 to benefit community members as their information source for activities and resources available to them on campus. Three television monitors have been purchased and installed in public viewing areas to provide greater accessibility to information. Other aesthetic improvements, ie., hanging flower baskets, have also been purchased.

Main Street USA (Main Street Market, The Daily Scoop, Park Avenue Gifts) is being managed and staffed by volunteers, to help fund the Foundation...all of the funds going back into Parkside to achieve the Foundation's objectives. More volunteers are always welcomed!
